The latter also seduces the daughter of the shady "businessman". When he finds out that the two have secretly celebrated a wedding, he decides to get rid of his rival. He is aided in his endeavors by Jenny, a cunning whore who betrays her ex-lover to the police. Back to the original: First performed in 1928, the opera parody strings together one biting musical number after another in cabaret style and jazz rhythm, breaking the boundaries of the genre, which until then had been considered bourgeois. Because the "Threepenny Opera" by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill is clearly political!

The unlikely pair - despite the barrier of language - engages in a rather odd conversation about the proper reading and origin of Diesel’s ingenious lines. It begins to dawn on Helmuth that his imaginations may have been somewhat highly-strung, as a stranger walks in; exposing the original mastermind as an overambitious double. What does this make of the autograph Helmuth was so eager to get?

Brian Eno and Roger Eno have been recording together since 1983. A marquis and a chevalier, a countess and budding artists meet there for a raucous party. Glasses clink, relationships are shaken, people love, lie and dance. The party lasts as long as it lasts, true to the motto: “Happy is he who forgets...”.
