We are female filmmakers telling a story about women's lives. Our script is based on a popular Rajasthani folktale entitled Dohri Joon or Double Life, compiled by renowned researcher Vijaydan Detha. We chose this story for its powerful feminist vision, coming from a deeply orthodox and patriarchal state like Rajasthan, India.
