Chi earned her American dream after persevering with her studies in Taiwan. Late night, a commuter bus was speeding along the coastal highway when, suddenly, a loud and panicky scream pierced the night’s silence. This wealthy and elderly lady had just woken to find her precious necklace stolen. What follows was a series of intriguing turn of events, chaotic mob justice, vengeful lynching, as the truth behind the theft unfolds. The film climaxes as the commuter bus went ablaze, burning and glittering against the pitch-dark coastal sky.

After passing a hedge, she enters an unknown world and unfolds a magical adventure depending on senses other than vision and her imagination. With soft and cute colors as the main key, we used simple designs to depict the little girls' imaginary world.

Lying quietly in a cine-camera, a film awaits to fulfill its responsibility of projecting 24 frames of images per second after exposure. Nonetheless, I prefer rolling out films outright and fiddling with them by pigments application, collage, scratch, cut-and-mix, etc. Since these are camera-less measures, the projection is unpredictable, surprising, and often so astonishing that I would be mesmerized.

"Travelling Through Brush and Ink" is a stop-motion animation of a little modern man traveling through four significant ancient Chinese paintings, transforming himself into animals and plants, and becomes part of the nature. Each painting represents four important stages of landscape art in Chinese history. Based on the original paintings, we built the sets and animated little character inside- all frame by frame. The animation is the opening film of 2016 annual exhibition National Palace Museum Taiwan.

The vacation seems to end after all, and we need to pack the scattered baggages.

The line between life and death is deeply imprinted in my childhood, I remember a vivid memory of sunny days, a bucket of water almost full and a half-submerged new mouse in a cage wanting freedom, until it was exhausted and surrendered to inevitable death. The music used in this work is the German folk song Ach, wie ist’s möglich dann. In Taiwan folk culture the song was often performed at funerals, an interesting and absurd contrast to the song’s original use in the 1935 German literary film as the soundtrack for a love story. So Zhang choreographs a dance performed to this German folk song about death.

By an unexpected turn of events, she accidentally gets mistaken for one of the contestants and is thrown into tournament. With no experience and equipment, can she fulfill her dream and reach the finish line?

What should consumers do when they find out the dark truth? Will their decide make a terrible food supply chain in future？
