In a near future, due to the effects of an uncompromising law on the eco-sustainability of supports, paper has become a rare item, a luxury possession, controlled by the "Big Z": Zimurgh Corporation.

Carlo and Sandro are two brilliant college graduates, but while one has had success after graduation, the other, Carlo, is struggling to earn a living. When after several years Sandro calls Carlo for a job proposal at the company he works for, Carlo discovers about a new revolutionary device. But why does Sandro need Carlo's help after all this time?

Young Ciro Priello, an ultra-skilled Neapolitan graphic, can not find a job that satisfies and appreciates him. After sending the curriculum practically everywhere, he just have to send a copy in space. He will thus be able to work for an alien society based on competence and meritocracy.

The short's main characters are Simone - a young and ambition-less unemployed man, and the titular Djinn - an ancient and powerful genie that is reduced to grant wishes in a small suburban office. The first of the two wishes for a job, whereas the second only wishes to steal as many wishes as possible to his "customer", to obtain as many years of life for himself. Both characters are running from a crisis: Simone from the economic depression, and the Djinn from a crisis of the imagination that is perhaps a direct consequence of the first.

Future. An analyst and his young patient Stefano, who is unable to relate serenely with love, talk during a psychoanalytic session. His tales of sentimental adventures become a fresco of enthusiasm and vitality, which we only glimpse in the eyes of our analyst.
