根据编剧Jepn Loeb和已故漫画家Michael Turner原作《超人与蝙蝠侠》第8期——第13期的故事"来自氪利普敦的超级女孩"改编。剧情承接上一部《超人与蝙蝠侠:公众之敌》，虽然陨石已经被撞毁，地球却布满了氪石的碎片。蝙蝠侠在海底清除氪石碎片的时候发现了一艘宇宙飞船，各种迹象表明它是和流星雨同时到来的。随后在哥谭城出现了一位来自氪星的少女，超人很快得知她是自己的堂姐Kara Zor-El。尽管蝙蝠侠对Kara的身份存在疑虑，超人还是决定要保护她并帮助她适应地球的生活。然而Kara在天堂岛接受训练时，Darkseid 突然进攻并将Kara捉走，于是超人、蝙蝠侠前去Apokolips营救Kara，却发现Kara已经被洗脑。Darkseid命令Kara杀死超人。

At the age of twenty-nine, Elgar Enders "runs away" from home. This running away consists of buying a building in a black ghetto in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn.
